Well... that last NG Tournament Chronicles chapter didn't turn out so well... so i'm going to go ahead and write on the other story I was planning on! It goes in several sections per chapter: one section per point of view. The sections are one or more Ultimech Hunt Logs, Dark Promise (Shaden), and Ethreal Mystery (Empress Aevis). Tell me what you think! but first... Empress Aevis' introduction!

A gigantic bird of bright colors, the Empress Aevis can show up anywhere at any time. Some say her plumage is blinding; others say it is beautiful. The Empress Aevis is known to be Female, for the voice that resonates from her is female, though no mouth movement is seen. It is suspected that powerful telepathy is used to do this. She is usually quiet, though sometimes she will converse with humans. Like Ultimech V2, she appears Ethreal at a distance, shape wavering. She seems to be searching for something, and is sometimes seen fighting the Ultimech V3. Humans who are in her presence get a feeling of calm. Some say she is the exact opposite of Shaden; others know different.

Hunt Log: V1 Reporting.

Objective failed. Power Source subject destroyed by bioforms "Jack" and "Carey", moderate damage sustained from Plasma Stream generated by the combination of efforts between bioforms "Jack", "Jenny", "James". Escape from compound successful without further damage. Continuing hunt for Dark-Matter lifeform "Shaden".

Hunt Log: V2 Reporting.

Every day I continue to wonder. My brothers take action without mercy, destroying anything in their way with mindless determination. I have no such desire, nor intent to do this. I... do not know what is wrong with me. I have observed the Hunt Logs of my brothers, yet mine are the only ones that stray from the subject. Is it possible that I am malfunctioning? On another note, I recently discovered that there are some extra files in my memory banks. The files are locked, and I have no access to them. What are they?
